I know this is not related to my university experience but it was so romantic.
I went to the park beside the campus waiting for our next class with Tim. When we finally made it there on crutches, I took both crutches in my hand and with his help sat on the ground with my cast straight ahead of me.
Here we were almost alone, side by side. It felt good…wonderful.
Tim was still holding on to my crutches and I glanced at him and saw that he was looking…at my cast…and toes at the end of my cast.
I moved my broken ankle over my good leg to see how he would react.
I felt his arm around my shoulders.
I felt his hot breath “You look sexy with a cast on”
“Please don’t tell me you are attracted to me just because of my ca…”
I felt his mouth…on mine…!
We were kissing
I was confused but I didn’t pull away from him. I felt his hand over my leg slide down over my cast.

Go Team
The office I work for part time play in a softball league once a week. They use that for teambuilding. The general manager really believe in team building even if 99% of the work that seem to be done is done by people working alone in the office or cubicle.
Maybe I should start at the beginning. Back home I was a decent softball player. I can hit the ball solid and field pretty good. We went out the whole office some weeks ago before my accident and after a couple of drinks and shooting pool and my boss asked me if I wanted to join the team.
I really didn’t care to play ball. Between work and school and I was hopping to play some basket-ball at the school I felt that it was enough.
“Yes I would love to play” Was what came out of my mouth… I told you I was a shy person but after 2 drinks you can make me say anything.
When I came to work with a broken ankle, cast and crutches I told them how sorry I was that I couldn’t play with them. They understood and felt sorry for me, they are a good bunch; but asked if I wanted to come and watch them play and be part of the teambuilding process…
So tonight I will be singing go team go standing on my crutches…
What a team player I am…

It’s Thursday morning
I have so much on my mind. I have a date on Saturday, busy day school wise, planning a special Halloween and my leg is so sore the last 2 days. I would imagine that it is normal for a broken ankle to be sore.
What I’m wearing today? Eh I’m a woman…what can I say.
I’m wearing my dark jean mini skirt with white blouse nothing special. I’m the type of woman that doesn’t need much time to be ready. If I’m going out I will put some mascara, eyeliner and lip gloss but not at school.
When I looked at myself in the full size mirror this morning, I now saw a woman still in a leg cast and using crutches but that is more confident and content.
I’m adjusting fairly well to my new life.
I was very careful down the stairs on my crutches.
Have a great day

Study time
I am going to spend the day on campus today to catch up. I have to be honest and admit that this pace that we are on is a little bit faster pace that I’m used to. I want to use the day to study since I have a fairly low course load today.
I have to stay positive and to not let stress and pressure take over. I’m sure that most people that read my blog know what I’m talking about either because they are first year student right now and were once in the past.
My leg and ankle is really sore today and I’m not sure why. It will be good to keep my cast up and give a break to the crutches while spending a lot of time at the library.
It seems like a never ending process right now. By the time I think I’m catching up…bang…I fall behind. Enough of these negative vibes.
I have a diner date Saturday night at my place.

Breakfast with the working group
Good morning.
That’s one of the part of university life that I love right now. Working group of people sharing a common goal in a certain class. Here we are this morning sharing, laughing and hopefully helping each other.
I’m sitting here with my cast on a chair listening and participating in this. Kate who’s from Kansa is playing with my crutches. I think that crutches are like a magnet that attracts people.
I bet you she’s the kind of person that when she was a young girl that wished for a cast to get the attention. I can’t believe how distracting to others it can be. I’ve learned to live with the pain so it’s no big deal to me anymore.

Nice lunch
I had a great lunch in the food court with Tim today. We took a table away from everybody. He helped me sit and took my crutches. He surprised me by taking my injured ankle and put the cast on a chair beside me and that without asking.
I couldn't really say anything since it was done so fast and after all he did it for me, to make me more comfortable. It would have been really rude….I think…To say anything. He's actually very nice. I told you about the accent but he also has nice brown hair. It looked really soft to the touch.
I’m a touchy person. I like physical contact.
We talked about everything and nothing and to be honest it didn’t matter what we were talking about. I don't think I said very much.
A very pleasant lunch for me and I think for him also. The tables in the food court are very small and everybody is really close to each other. Close to the end of a lovely lunch he put his hand on knee. Actually it was at the edge of my knee and my cast.
I reacted without really wanting too.
He apologised, of course, the perfect gentleman that he is.
I have to run…don’t I wish…To my job.

So strange
Is this a coincidence? I’m staring at this guy who just walked by me on crutches with a big long cast covering his right leg completely and he smiled at me.
By itself there is nothing strange about this since I’m also in a cast using crutches but I received an email this morning from a guy and he told me that he was also a student and that he was in a cast.
After sending me a semi rude email yesterday, he emailed me back this morning.
Coincidence?

Who’s kidding who
After a nice coffee yesterday, I’m meeting Tim for lunch today. My mind was focused on greater things but I want to see where this can go.
What do I have to loose my new friend told me last night and she’s right.
I can’t play sports with my broken ankle, all my friends are back home, my new friend is on the west coast so why not a boyfriend. He could carry my books while I’m on crutches… Just kidding Tim.
He has this great accent…
So here I am sitting outside with my cast resting on the bench waiting for my next class. It was an early start + the fall in the bathroom so I deserve a break. Maybe that’s not the best word to use in my situation.

Bad start
I came in early this morning to meet with other students on a project that we are all working together.
A new friend of mine told me to be careful in bathrooms. With the virus h1n1 scare around the world, our school put extra emphasis on keeping the washroom super clean and that’s a real good ting.
I was alone, the floor was wet and I was doubly careful but all of a sudden my left crutch slid on the wet floor and I went crashing down.
I was lucky and I did bang my broken ankle too bad. Another student heard me fall and she came in to check.
I was sitting on the floor leaning against the wall. My cast stretched out in front of me.
“Are you ok?” She asked me.
“I am but if you don’t mind helping me up” With her help I got to my feet and put my crutches under my arms and left the bathroom after thanking her for her help.
These wet floors are really dangerous.

Student book fair
First I have to say that I have an opinion about everything. I’m shy in nature to meet people but when it comes time to express myself I love to do it. I’m a good listener also.
Because the student book fair was open to the public this year, the university decided that it could not be done on campus without have to pay some fees for the fair.
We are talking about poor student in most cases trying to break even. I know that lots of people are saying that the recession is behind us but the reality is that for a lot of students it is hard to find a part time job while studying full time.
They should encourage student.
If 50 or 100 peoples that are not associated with the school came to the fair and bough some books…That wouldn’t have been the end of the world. Just more money in the student’s pocket.
Why charging a fee? I feel that we pay lots of money to go to that university already.
Oh well, I guess there is always next year!
My opinion

Tim
He was in class He’s name is Tim. It’s been a long time since a man makes me feel like he does. I don't know anything about him except that he is in my class and helped me with my sandal last week.
We got to the building at the same time this morning. We were both waiting for the elevator, him looking really cute in his tight jeans and shirt and may standing on my crutches wearing shorts and a t-shirt.
We smiled at each other. I wondered if he even remembered me from last week.
He then turned around and looked me in the eyes, and said,
“How’s the broken leg?”
“Much better thanks”
Why was I blushing? The thing is, I don't know why. He sat beside me in class after he asked if I needed help with the crutches and told him no.
He’s probably just a friendly person but I love the special attention and feeling.
What if he read’s my blog?

University update
Here’s a little update of my University experience so far…
I’m amaze how fast everything is going. Between school and work, the beginning of my first year of university is going so fast. The first few days of school I was almost overwhelmed by the size of the campus and the expectations. Off course breaking my ankle didn’t help on that front.
Today I still feel like a small pea compare to my previous school where I knew almost everybody, but I definitely don’t feel lost.
I’ve had the opportunity to meet many wonderful people who helped me with my university experience and also my injury.
This week should be a great one. I’m getting more and more comfortable on my crutches and I feel super motivated to do my work!
I miss my small school, my friends, some of my teachers and other people from my previous life but I look forward to everything.

It’s Monday back to school
Good morning
After a fairly quiet weekend it’s Monday.
I spent the afternoon Sunday hopping around and on crutches trying to clean up a bit my apartment. Not easy with a broken ankle but I needed to do it. I also needed to be active.
Just wearing shorts and a t-shirt today. Hopefully my new friend will be in class this morning. He’s the one that helped me with my sandal last week.
How was your weekend?

Dry Skin
It’s so nice to wake up Sunday morning and have nothing to do except study. No shopping, no working…nothing.
Yesterday was a wonderful day. I have a new online friend and we have so much in common. I have to admit that when I started my blog about my university experience I never, never expected all this.
Life is full of new experiences if you are open minded.
But right now I have to take care of my body. My skin is so dry lately.
I grabbed my crutches and went back to my bedroom where I have my laptop on my bed and a bottle of lotion. I love the small on the feel of the lotion on my fingers.
I start with right foot that’s been working so hard since my accident. I then go up my leg to my thigh, then over my belly. I go down my left thigh, and stopping at the edge of my cast right under my knee.
I rub all around the upper edge of my cast all around my leg. I put more lotion and lotion start rubbing my toes at the end of the cast with it. I rubbed the lotion into my dry toes imagining that it is…It feels so nice bit it’s like a slow torture…
I’m sure you can tell from my blog that I am open minded and my imagination can run at full speed when I’m not concentrating on school only.
I can imagine, I can see you stare and I can hear you say….
